About the EIPIC Impact Study
What is EIPIC Impact Study?
A 6-year study commissioned by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and headed by National Institute of Education (NIE). Our aim is to learn about the outcomes of the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) on the children and their families.
Why are we doing this study?
We believe that early intervention not only benefits the child, but also the families. Through this, we are hoping to learn how child and family benefit, and shed light on how to make the programme better for the both child and family.
How are we doing this?
The study itself is conducted in 3 phases. We are currently in phase 2 (click here) where:
-
we are norming a child developmental tool for Singapore children. We will be testing 1400 children aged between 18 months and 6 years, 11 months using the Brigance Inventory of Early Development III (standardized). If you are a parent or run a preschool, we need your help.
-
we are also learning about the emotional well-being of parents of young children aged 18 months and 6 years, 11 months. We need parents to fill out a brief survey online or on paper. If you are parent or run a preschool, we need your help. Click here for more information.
