Thank you for your interest in our study. Without supportive early childhood centres, our research will not be possible.
If you have children in your centre aged between 18 months and 6 years -11 months old, you can support us in the following ways:
1) Assist in the
dissemination of consent forms and surveys:
We respect parental consent and therefore will need your help in distributing the consent forms and consolidating them.
The method of distribution and collection of surveys will vary across centres, in order to suit the preferences of different centres. We will work closely with centres to minimize the work they have to do.
2) Provide space for
child assessment:
The assessment will require a space of about 2 meters for physical activities (this could be an outdoor area), and a table and 2 chairs.
3) Provide additional information about the child if needed:
All assessments will be conducted by our researchers, although some questions may be asked of the teachers regarding the child's skills that were not observed during the session.
We will minimize the need of this happening but if it occurs, we will prepare a simple and clear checklist for the teacher to fill in for his or her class.
